We are looking for a motivated, diligent person with a sound level of electrical & electronic knowledge, along with mechanical and practical ability. You will be responsible for equipment maintenance and testing of in-house rental equipment as well as customer equipment. You will be committed to maintaining the equipment to the high quality we are known for.
You will be based at our Peterborough workshop with occasional travel to client sites or training courses. The core hours of the role are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, but on occasions, work may be required outside of those hours.
As this is a wide-ranging role, training will be given as required.

Our headquarters are in Peterborough and we support clients across the country. We also install and maintain electrical, lighting and audio systems in theatres, schools and churches.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection, testing and maintenance of hire stock electrical distribution units in accordance with our systems.
Inspection, testing and maintenance of hire stock electrical equipment in accordance with our systems.
Accurate record keeping.
Working to schedules to ensure equipment readiness is maintained.
Work in accordance with the company's Health & Safety documentation.
Maintenance & repair of equipment to include Audio, Lighting, Power Distribution, Cabling systems and Rigging equipment.
Assisting with new-build equipment projects
Salary £32k - £35K+ DOE
Personal Skills:
The ideal candidate would:
Be an 18th Edition Qualified Electrician
Hold a City & Guilds qualification in Inspection & Testing (e.g. one or more of 2391, 2392, 2394, 2395)
Hold a City & Guilds 2377 qualification in PAT testing
Have a track record of Portable Appliance Testing & able to demonstrate working knowledge
Have experience with 3-phase systems and variable RCDs
Be able to carry out repairs on distribution equipment
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Be able to manage workload and prioritise
Be computer literate
Be able to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment
Have a keen eye for detail
Have a valid UK driving licence
Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Prior experience with Hiretrack rental management software is an advantage, though not essential
