Pearce Hire is an award-winning provider of technical solutions to the events industry. Founded in 1987, Pearce Hire continues to specialise in delivering cutting-edge power, lighting, audio, staging and production equipment to the UK’s biggest festivals, tours, exhibitions, architectural installations, and corporate events. Committed to bringing clients’ ambitious ideas to life, Pearce Hire offers a full range of services including dry hire, technical installation, electrical testing and full project management packages.
Based in our Peterborough Workshop, you will be responsible for equipment maintenance and testing of in-house equipment, as well as customer equipment. A sound level of electrical & electronic knowledge is required, along with mechanical and practical ability. As this is quite a wide-ranging role, training will be given as required. Whilst this role is largely based at our head office and during normal work hours, you will be required on occasions to work out on site and outside of normal working hours.
The Installation Project Manager will lead installation projects in live event venues from initial enquiry through to successful completion. The projects will require electrical, lighting, audio and video systems to be designed, costed and managed through to successful handover to the client.
The purpose of this role is to take live event lighting projects through the full cycle from initial enquiry through quote and delivery to invoice and debrief. Projects may involve other disciplines, such as temporary power and audio, and we would expect you to be able to manage solutions involving all disciplines with support from technical experts within the team.
The job involves working both in the office and on-site to deliver a range of exciting projects.
